Getting Started & Self-Setup
Learn how to set up your Mutero account, configure Virtual Fiscal Devices (VFD), map tax codes, and integrate your accounting software or custom POS.
Quick Setup Overview
Configure Business & ZIMRA Credentials
Log in to your Mutero Dashboard and navigate to Business Profile settings. Provide your official TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number), VAT Registration Number, and legal business name as registered with ZIMRA.
- 10-Digit ZIMRA TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number)
- VAT Registration Number (if registered for Value Added Tax)
- Registered Physical Business Address in Zimbabwe
Virtual Fiscal Device (VFD) Registration
Navigate to VFD Devices in the sidebar. Click Register Device to generate your unique virtual fiscal device instance.
Mutero automatically handles ZIMRA FDMS public key exchange, certificate enrollment, and digital signature generation for your device.
Tax Code & HS Code Mapping
Map your accounting software tax rates (e.g., 15% VAT, 0% Zero-Rated, Exempt) to ZIMRA FDMS Tax IDs.
Connect Your Sales System
Choose your integration method from the Integrations Hub:
Direct OAuth 2.0 connection. Auto-fiscalizes sales invoices and posts ZIMRA receipt verification links back to Zoho.
OAuth connect in the Mutero web dashboard. Fiscalizes ACCREC invoices (XR-) and allocated credit notes (XR-CN-).
Spreadsheet template / add-in with offline queue and XL- stubs via Mutero Desktop.
QB Web Connector on Mutero Desktop — QB- invoices and credit memos with fail-closed tax mapping.
JSON-RPC poller for posted invoices / refunds with OD- stubs and chatter writeback.
Local ODBC poller on HistoryHeader / HistoryLines with SP- stubs and FRN writeback.
Generate Bearer API keys to fiscalize receipts directly from custom POS terminals or e-commerce backends.
